Ultrasound Schools

Great News to Announce!!

The University of Alaska Anchorage campus is now officially the only accredited program in the state!!

What does this mean?

Students who now attend UAA can graduate as Registered Sonographers! Each cohort will be eligible to sit for their ARDMS board examinations while in the final two months of the program. Graduating as a registered sonographer will increase your chances of employment and give you an advantage in earning a higher pay right out of school.

Clinical sites also have an advantage! Those who host UAA Diagnostic Medical Sonography students and work directly with them in their clinical internship will earn up to 6 CME a year.

Who doesn't like free CMEs?

Fell free to reach out to the Clinical Coordinator, Christina Pearson, cmpearson2@alaska.edu, if you are interested in more information or would like to host one of the DMS students!

The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs has a national list of accredited ultrasound schools.

Local in Alaska: University of Alaska Anchorage has the first and only accredited Ultrasound Program in Alaska! For more information click here.
